CAPTURED IN LENS | In a significant move to foster optimal labor-management relations, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) administration inks a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the TAU - Non Academic Staff Association (NASA) for the renewal of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) at the Office of the President (OP) Conference Hall, 8 April.

Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU President, leads the ceremonial signing attended by the officials from NASA and other concerned personnel.

CHRONICLES | TAU channels carabao spirit: “Hataw, Kalabaw!” drives CAF week

Strengthening bonds among students, faculty and staff, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) through CAF Student Council (SC) , held a three-day celebration blending education, culture, agricultural practices, and traditional games from 2-4 April, mirroring the humility, hard work, and perseverance of carabaos. 

The event kicked off with an energetic parade of students and employees, followed by an exciting lineup of activities like traditional Filipino games (Laro ng Lahi) at the CAF Grounds and TAU Rice Field, including kadang-kadang relay races, tug of war, sack races, and the lively Agawan ng buko (coconut snatching) and Agawan ng itik (duck catching).

In pursuit of institutional excellence, the Quality Assurance (QA) office spearheaded a two-day training-workshop titled “Empowering Excellence: Gender-Based Capability Enhancement for Quality Assurance Through Accreditation” at the AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall, 3-4 April. 

A gender-inclusive framework that aimed to prepare the select faculty members and staff from the University’s six colleges for Level IV Phase 2 of Accreditation Survey Visit, the event kicked-off with informative sessions led by Dr. Rene G. Nanit, Chairperson of Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd), who steered the orientation with a deep dive into the role of research followed by Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo, Director of Gender and Development (GAD) office, who stressed the need for data-driven and learning methodologies.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝗚𝗛 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗟𝗛𝗘𝗣𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀

After five years, The Golden Harvest (GH), Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) official tertiary student organ, has returned to the Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) to share its journalistic advocacy and hone the skills of its editors and staff. 

The LHEPC’s 20th edition, held at Batis Aramin Resort in Lucban, Quezon Province on 1-4 April, brought together 152 campus publications from eight regions, with 1,075 delegates, including student journalists, press advisers, and moderators, competing in various categories.

In the Group Category, GH’s magazine, Inyang, secured Top 10 finish in the Development Communication Page, mirroring the publication’s mission to pursue creative and impactful storytelling to promote the welfare of disenfranchised communities. GH also fielded newsletter and literary folio entries, though Region IV-A (CaLaBaRZon) emerged as the dominant force, sweeping most of the awards.

CAPTURED IN LENS | Celebrating academic excellence and strengthening collaboration among current and future leaders in scientific research and innovation, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) led by Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson takes part at the Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics, and Technology (PCSMT) 2025 Math-Science Quiz Bowl and Turnover Ceremony at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, 2-4 April.

Themed "Innovation in Action: Shaping Tomorrow with Science, Mathematics, and Technology," the event features a keynote address by Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, President of Batangas State University (BatSU) and Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). The second day unfolds with intense competition as quizzers from competing State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) vie for supremacy in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at the UNP Gymnasium. The event culminates in a Fellowship Night.
