In his keynote address during the 87th Commencement Exercises of Victoria East Central School (VCES) on 15 April, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, President of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), shares his humble journey from being an ordinary pupil at the same school to leading a globally-recognized University.

He emphasizes that success does not depend on one’s origins but on resilience, perseverance, and self-belief, especially in the face of failures. He encourages the graduates to embrace their responsibility as members of the “𝘏𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘢,” playing a vital role in shaping a “𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴”—one that remains resolute despite the larger-than-life challenges.
