CAPTURED IN LENS | To champion sustainability and solid waste management, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the General Services Office (GSO) and its dedicated units: Ecological Waste Management Unit (ESWM), Facility Management Unit, and Motorpool, spearheads the University-wide clean-up drive in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO), 4 April.
Said collaborative effort aims to achieve a cleaner and greener campus while also raising awareness about waste reduction.
The collected non-recyclable waste materials during the activity will be measured by DENR-CENRO to determine its total weight and will be turned over to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Camiling for appropriate disposal and processing, while the recyclable materials will be segregated at the University’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for recycling or upcycling.

TAU-ELIA invites interested students from the six colleges of TAU to join the personalized Micro-credentials (MCs) virtual training titled “2025 Thailand UMAP Micro Credential” organized by the King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in collaboration with Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Sciences, Research and Innovation through the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP).
Said activity will cover job-related competencies, practical levels of competencies, research-baked, and others to name a few that will run from 9 May to 30 June.

TAU-ELIA in collaboration with the Sekolah Tinggi Informatika dan Komputer Indonesia (STIKI) in Malang, Indonesia, encourages TAU students to apply in the International Credit Transfer program that will run for one semester from August 2025 to January 2026.
Over the course of the semester, learners will be given flexible modes of learning during their six months stay at STIKI Malang campus such as virtual classes via video conferencing and hybrid classes including a month of on-site sessions and five months of virtual conferences to study the available courses such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Web Programming, Finance Technology, Illustration, Videography, and 2D Animation.

As global waste generation surges, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), under the initiative of its administration headed by Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, rolled out a one-day interactive learning session titled “Enhancing Efficiency and Sustainability in Environmental Solid Waste Management (ESWM)” for University’s stakeholders and TAU-ESWM coordinators in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) at the Continuing Education Center (CEC), 3 April.
Said activity equipped the participants with new and traditional know-how from DENR-CENRO officials and experts who presented and clarified issued pertaining to best practices in waste management including proper waste segregation, Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) laws, and permits for tree-cutting and transport
Engr. Paul Christian A. Santos, General Services Officer, together with Engr. Jesus A. Tolentino, Assistant Director of the General Services Office (GSO), stated that the seminar’s newly introduced strategies will be applied immediately through a University clean-up initiative on 4 April.
