Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, along with representatives from four internal sectors, faculty, non-teaching staff, students, and alumni, formally agreed to finalize the Budget Partnership Agreement (BPA) for 2026 during a ceremonial signing at the Office of the President (OP) Conference Room on 27 February.
The key sectors were represented by the following: Dr. Joseph Paul T. Abad (United Faculty Association); Ms. May Q. Parayno (Non-Academic Staff Association); Mr. Jethro M. Jimenez (Supreme Student Council); and Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET) Dr. Dr. Edmar N. Franquera (Alumni Association).
𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Delegates from the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) embark on a meaningful visit at the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Sociocultural Development Office (SDO) to gather insights into implementing socio-cultural initiatives and strategies, 24 February.
After a courtesy visit with TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, NVSU’s Director of Culture and Arts, Ms. Fermila Cauilan, along with other attendees, explore the facilities and engage in an in-depth discussion with Prof. Cecile L. Lapitan, the Director of TAU-SDO and its Assistant Director Engr. Donna Fay N. Labrador regarding the University’s support to student artists like rewards and privileges to motivate the talents. Moreover, the partner universities also talk about the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as NVSU seeks details on the TAU-SDO’s processes as a guide in crafting NVSU’s own policy.

Newly sworn-in Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Chair of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Board of Regents Dr. Desiderio R. Apag spoke before thousands of student-athletes as the guest of honor during the opening ceremony of State Colleges and Universities Athletics Association (SCUAA) III Regional Games at Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), 24 February.
In his keynote address, Dr. Apag stressed how competition cultivates “sportsmanship, excellence, and unity.” He highlighted the significance of this year’s theme, "Empowering Athletes, Inspiring Generations," stating, “It reflects our commitment to challenging young athletes to push beyond their limits, transform their lives, and shape the future of sports for generations to come.”

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) continues to shine on the global stage with yet another world-class athlete. Following the success of two TAU archers who qualified for the World University Games (WUG) in Germany, Merry Joy I. Trupa has now secured her place in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.
This achievement comes after her impressive silver-medal win at the Asian Duathlon Championship 2025, held in Manama, Bahrain, on 22 February.
Trupa, alongside bronze medalist Kim Mangrobang, represented the Philippines in the women’s duathlon. She delivered an outstanding performance, clocking in at 1:29:16 and outpacing seven competitors.
