We heard you, TAUians!

In response to growing calls to prioritize mental health and holistic well-being, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) administration has decided to designate 31 March (Monday) as a University-Wide Wellness Break for all students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. 

This initiative underscores TAU’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment where individuals can pause, reflect, and rejuvenate amidst the demands of academic and professional life. 

However, the University acknowledges that certain essential services may require uninterrupted operations. Employees required to report for duty due to exigency of service will receive applicable compensation, ensuring fairness while maintaining critical functions. 

CAPTURED IN LENS | As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce supply usage and minimize the printing of Department Performance and Commitment Review (DPCR) documents, the Planning and Development Office (PDO), through the Institutional Development and Resource Generation (IDRG), conducts an orientation-workshop on the Electronic Department Performance Commitment and Review (e-DPCR) Form for office/unit heads and clerical staff at the Graduate Program and Office of the President Conference Rooms from 25 to 27 March.

This initiative aligns with Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) vision to become a sustainable campus, as outlined in Memo No. 001, s. 2024, on the University’s observance of austerity measures.

TAU - ELIA invites undergraduate, master’s, or doctorate students from TAU to apply in the second round of the FSci International Internship Program 2025 through the Faculty of Science (FSci) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand. Said program will take place from 12 June to 25 July with complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off on 10-11 June and 29-30 July. 

While there is no tuition fee to be charged for this internship, a program fee of 30,000 THB (approximately P50,000) will be paid which will cover the following expenditures:

• On-campus dormitory (rent only, utilities not included)
• Research equipments
• Airport pickup and drop-off (only for selected dates)
• Cultural trip

CAPTURED IN LENS |The halls of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) hum with a familiar silence and focused energy this week as thousands of TAUians dive into their Midterm Examinations for the Second Semester, A.Y. 2024-2025, from 25 to 28 March.

Lecture rooms and even corridors transform into arenas of intellect, where pens scratch, keyboards tap, and minds race against the clock. Amid a sea of determined scholars, Mx. Jam B. De Asis, BS Psychology; Ms. Kate Princess C. Garcia, BS Early Childhood Education; and Ms. Jodi Angelie Dien I. Ollado, BS Geodetic Engineering, chase success through sheer hard work and perseverance as they step closer to their aspirations of becoming professionals in their respective fields.

CAPTURED IN LENS | To formalize joint efforts in advancing scientific research, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), represented by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), led by Executive Director Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, seal a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with RD Leader Dr. Antonio G. Lalusin at the Office of the President Conference Room on 25 March. 

In the MOA, TAU pledges to provide logistical and institutional support to Dr. Lalusin for the completion of project deliverables from January 2025 to January 2026. TAU’s commitment underscores its role in enabling innovation, while the agreement marks a strategic step toward addressing challenges through interdisciplinary cooperation and resource sharing.
