The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DABE) spearheaded the “International Student Sharing and Learning Session on Israeli Technology and Techniques on Fruit Harvesting, Mushroom Farming and Post-Harvest Activities and Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)” via the Zoom platform last August 12, 2021.

CET interns conclude e-internship in Indonesia,Balingit, Dizon bag best student-intern award

CTTO: TAU External Linkages and International Affairs

Eighteen undergraduates pursuing Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) and thirteen Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering started their internship program hosted by Indonesia's Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in June 21, 2021 and was capped last August 26, 2021. The two months internship covers a wide range of topics which enhances their knowledge and educational experience.

Seven (7) undergraduate students from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering were accepted into a field practice program organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Studies of the Universitas Pancasakti Tegal (Indonesia).

TAU-CVM Dean to serve as visiting lecturer in Universitas Brawijaya

Dr. Lordy P. Plaza, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, will be a visiting lecturer in the "3-in-1" virtual program to be conducted by Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, Indonesia.

TAU- DRD in the New Normal: Coping, Surviving, Thriving

Excellence. Integrity. Service: these are the three core values that serve as the moral compass and representations of all that Tarlac Agricultural University stands for and consistently endeavor to embody, notwithstanding the challenges brought about by the calamitous event, COVID-19.

Evidently, the COVID-19 pandemic has not only claimed millions of lives but has also drastically changed the “normal” way we navigate through life. It has turned our lives upside down and left us groping for ways to cope and survive.

Banking on Strategic Cooperation between Philippines and Myanmar TAU inks MOU with KTU

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Kyaing Tong University (KTU) in Myanmar formalized their partnership in a Ceremonial Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 16 November via Zoom. TAU was represented by its President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo, and Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director of the Office of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA). Their counterparts from KTU, Dr. San San Mar, Rector, and Dr. Shwe Wah, Pro-Rector, were also present.

The five-year joint venture shall cover streamlining student and faculty exchange programs and conducting research seminars, conferences, and publications until 2026.

Israeli Ambassador visits TAU; vows for more funding, collaboration in agro-industrial initiatives

As part of the Israeli government’s push for continuous and stronger support for Philippine’s agricultural sector, His Excellency, Ambassador Ilan Fluss, visited several laboratories and centers in Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 15 November.

The day officially commenced with a courtesy call at the Office of the TAU President, Dr. Max. P. Guillermo. Dr. Guillermo was joined by Mayor Erlon C. Agustin of the Municipality of Camiling in welcoming the ambassador and the rest of the Israeli delegation which includes Mr. Nir Balzam, Deputy Chief of Mission, and Ms. Gladys Baniqued-Turiano, MASHAV officer.

TAU joins in CHEDRO3’s simultaneous vaccination drive

To propel the immunization of the Tarlaqueños against COVID-19, the Tarlac Agricultural University has partaken in the CHED’s Regional Simultaneous Vaccination Program for Tertiary Students (RSVP-TS) last 19 November 2021 at the TAU Multipurpose Hall.

371 students received COVID-19 vaccine. 23 of them are students from other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region.
