The four-month training program hosted 13 Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering (BSGE) students and 7 Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) students from TAU.

The interns attended classes in agricultural machine design, environmental science, irrigation and drainage engineering, and renewable energy engineering under the tutelage of professors from the UPS - Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

Mr. Rommel L. Ibarra, a fifth year BSABE student, recalled that he did not only learn new concepts and hone his skills but also meet Indonesian friends who even helped in translating Bahasa words to English in the class. “They are so friendly and I can approach them anytime,” he noted.

In their acknowledgment to UPS, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director of the External Linkages and International Affairs and Engr. John Leonard Constantino, CET Assistant Dean, shared that TAU will welcome three (3) UPS students in the second semester. Both TAU officials also appreciated their UPS counterparts, especially Dr. Yoga Prihatin, for assisting the TAU interns.

UPS is a Higher Education Institution (HEI) situated in Central Java, Indonesia. The mobility programs are part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two HEIs signed on 17 January 2019.
