Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) audits TAU's institutional strengths with a 3-star rating in the overall category

Tarlac Agricultural University's international reputation is reaffirmed as it joins the list of world-class universities through an international assessment of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Stars Audit.

Garnering a total of 609 points and an accumulated 33 stars (out of 40 maximum) in eight categories, TAU is awarded 3 Stars in the overall category in this institutional internationalization assessment.

TAU ranks 601-800 in the 2021 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking

A validation of Tarlac Agricultural University's expanding international reputation and visibility, the University got hold of another global recognition this year for placing 601-800 in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2021.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings Methodology assesses the global performance of universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.

A Sweet Success: Dr. Valdez talks about the future of sweet potato for feeds industry

Prof. Maria Teresa SJ. Valdez of Tarlac Agricultural University discussed the ProEn-K technology on sweet potato feed processing during the second broadcast debut of AgriSikat or “Sa Agrikultura, Sikat ka!” via DWFA 107.3 FM, the official radio station of Central Luzon State University, and simultaneously livestreamed on Facebook live feed reaching over a thousand of listeners and viewers last April 21.

TAU College of Education mentors the junior faculty on research capability and extension services

The College of Education’s senior faculty and department chairs spearheaded a virtual Capability Training for new and junior faculty of the college to discuss the research and extension agenda of the university last April 16.

The department chairs discussed the research and extension programs initiated by the college, as well as the impact of these collaborative efforts in the lives of the community partners of TAU.

R&D launches virtual research capability webinar series

Tarlac Agricultural University’s Department of Research and Development hosted the Research Capability Caravan Project with “Enhancing of Research Capability Webinar Series: Writing a Competitive Research Proposal for Funding and Collaboration” via Google Meet last May 7, 14, and 21.

The rostrum of experts that graced the training includes: Dr. Narceo Bajet (DOST Balik Scientist Awardee), Dr. Maria Excelsis M. Orden (CLSU Director of University Research Center), Dr. Ma. Asuncion G. Beltran (Vice President, Research, Extension & Training), Dr. Arnold E. Velasco (Vice President, Academic Affairs), and Dr. Maria Teresa SJ Valdez (TAU Graduate Program Coordinator).

Prof. Ramos talks about sweet potato as super food in AgriSikat

Ikaw ba ay hindi kumakain ng kamote? O kaya naman ay mahilig kumain subalit sawa na sa nilaga or pinirito lang? May sagot ang TAU dyan!

TAU Professor and Head of the Food Processing Center, Dr. Susana D. Ramos guested in the segment of Radio CLSU of the Central Luzon State University, Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, AgriSikat or “Sa Agrikultura, Sikat ka!” last April 28 to showcase the different products that were developed from the different varieties of sweet potato.

The segment was broadcasted by Central Luzon State University’s Radio Station, DWFA 107.3 FM and Facebook Page live feed reaching over a thousand listeners and viewers.

Prof. Ramos discussed the sweet potato products which primarily aimed to optimize the potential of the crop for livelihood and enterprise, to boost the nutrient content and made available being one of the staple foods of most of the Filipinos, and also to promote zero-waste production.

Dr. Laranang talks about clean planting materials against sweet potato menace in AgriSikat

Known as the sweet potato queen because of her numerous research contributions in the sweet potato production, TAU’s University Professor Dr. Lilibeth B. Laranang guested in the segment of Radio CLSU of the Central Luzon State University, Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, AgriSikat or “Sa Agrikultura, Sikat ka!” last April 28 to showcase the clean planting materials for sweet potatoes.

The segment was broadcasted by Central Luzon State University’s Radio Station, DWFA 107.3 FM and Facebook Page live feed reaching over a thousand listeners and viewers.

TAU submits 6 programs to AACCUP’s virtual accreditation

Geared towards cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous sustainable development in all areas of operation, the Tarlac Agricultural University submitted its six academic programs-two graduate and four undergraduate- for Level 3-Phase 2 Online Accreditation on May 31-June 2, 2021.

As TAU continues to lay-out the trail towards becoming one of the top 500 universities in Asia, the university submitted its six programs namely: Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Agronomy, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, to the scrutiny of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered College and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
