CAF, CAS students qualify for UMAP Thailand flagship master class

As an uncertain future looms, University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Thailand, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) welcomed four Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) students to enrol in the Thailand UMAP Micro-Credentials (MCC) program and prepare them for the great shifts in technological and societal frontiers.

Set to roll out on 31 January 2022, the pilot project was divided in two strands. The members of the TAU delegate, comprised of Tirso L. Renante Jr. and  Jayson D. Enriquez of College of Agriculture and Forestry and Bren Noah M. Nieto and Joyce J. Munda of College of Arts and Sciences, will earn credentials in Strand B which is designed to develop the participants’ competency in Data Science, Persuasive Presentation, and Cultural Dimensions in Communication.

Zeroing in on Strategic Cooperation between Philippines and Myanmar TAU inks MOU with KTU

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Kyaing Tong University (KTU) in Myanmar formalized their partnership in a Ceremonial Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 16 November via Zoom. TAU was represented by its President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo, and Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director of the Office of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA). Their counterparts from KTU, Dr. San San Mar, Rector, and Dr. Shwe Wah, Pro-Rector, were also present.

TAU appointed as council member to China-ASEAN research consortium, ELIA Director  inducted as Vice Chairman

Expected to participate in the digital economy integration of countries in the new Western Land-Sea Corridor (WLSC), the China-ASEAN (Association of SouthEast Asian Nations) Big Data Industry-University-Research Alliance designated Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) as the only council member from the Philippines.

    SDGs Academy Philippines now seeks collaborators

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Sustainable Energy and Enterprise Development for Communities (SEED4Com) are now looking for Sustainability Advocates in the country.

Formally inaugurated on 13 November, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Academy Philippines is the outcome of months of planning and consultations between TAU Office of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) and SEED4Com in support of United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Totaan took home the coveted Best Paper of Organizational Performance during the Fourth International Conference on Economics, Business, and Social Science (ICEBUSS) on February 1, 2022.

TAU kicks off regular student exchange program for second semester

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than by professing one's love for education? This is what exactly Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) pulled off as it admitted 33 international students from nine higher education institutions in Indonesia and Myanmar in the welcome ceremony of the Regular Student Exchange Program on 14 February.

A first in Bicol Region

            TAU signs deal with Cam Sur’s CBSUA

After months of exploratory talks and inception meetings, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) formalized its partnership with Region V’s Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) through a Ceremonial Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at TAU’s Farmers’ Training Center on 2 March. CBSUA is TAU’s first official collaborating Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the Bicol Region.

CBSUA has a lot to offer to its partner higher education institutions. In 2020, it was recognized as one of the country’s top-performing state universities and colleges (SUCs) with the highest number of Level III accredited programs.
