The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) celebrates the 57th founding anniversary of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) and supports this year’s chairmanship theme from LAO People’s Democratic People (PDR) “𝘼𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙉: 𝙀𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.”
 
The five foreign ministers from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand founded the ASEAN on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand. This initiative remains firm and strong in promoting a thriving economic and cultural exchange among its members to nourish a peaceful Southeast Asian community.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) made a grand entrance at the State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association Region III (SCUFAR III) Sports and Cultural Festival hosted by Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) as its officials and employees joined the parade and participated in the opening ceremony, 20 August.
 
Led by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, the TAU delegates proved their commitment to fostering solidarity with their fellow public servants from state universities and colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon as well as upholding sportsmanship and the appreciation and conservation of arts and heritage.

In line with its commitment to advancing ecological causes, TAU is cohosting the Green SONA (State of the Nature Assessment) - one of the Philippines' largest events of its kind - at the Student and Alumni Center on 28-29 August.

Green SONA is expected to bring together Filipino and foreign academics, researchers, policy experts, advocates, volunteers, and students- all calling for a collective march towards finding solutions to our generations greatest challenge: climate change.

The entire Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community joins the whole nation in sending warmest felicitations to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the occasion of its 57th anniversary.

For almost six decades, ASEAN has been a symbol of regional cooperation and development. This year's theme, "ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience," demonstrates the unity and resiliency that have characterized this noble organization since its very formation.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Upon their return from the weekend holiday break, members of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community join the customary flag-hoisting ceremony, 27 August, quite differently; as this time, the ceremony is done simultaneously in different venues within the University campus.
 
As embodied in Memorandum 272, s. 2024 released by University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson on 21 August, flag ceremony during first Monday of each month shall be conducted and participated by all in front of Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, whereas during the remaining Mondays, it will be held in three different areas: the Laboratory School LS) grounds, in front of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) Building, and in front of the Learning Resource Center (LRC).

In support of SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger, the Department of Research and Development (DRD) invites employees and students to join the free vegetable picking every Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 in the morning.
 
This is part of Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) poverty alleviation and sustainable agriculture program aimed at providing nutritional food choices to its stakeholders and its community partners.

Due to heavy rainfall warnings for Tarlac and neighboring provinces issued by PAG-ASA, classes at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 3 September are suspended per announcement by LGU Camiling.

Other university-wide and college-based student events and activities scheduled for tomorrow are also canceled. Please wait for updates from concerned TAU personnel/ officials for further announcements regarding the resumption of regular classes.
