Today, 24 July, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of Engr. Benjie M. Dela Vega, Director of the General Services Office (GSO).

In addition to his commitment to teaching at the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Engr. Dela Vega continues to play a vital role in ensuring that the University's support services—from sanitation to infrastructure maintenance—remain efficient and responsive to the needs of every TAUian.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | In line with the directive from the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and in collaboration with the TAU - Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC), the officials and volunteers start with the distribution of relief supplies to affected TAUians, 23 July.

Affected members of the TAU community who have not yet received assistance may coordinate with the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer for Administration (CAO Admin).

𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍 | Office of the University President

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community reminds its stakeholders that classes and work at the University remain suspended on 25 July, per advisory from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

According to the latest announcement from the national weather bureau, the Municipality of Camiling and nearby areas may still experience heavy rainfall, increasing the likelihood of flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Following the activation of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Incident Management Team (IMT) for weather disturbances, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson—University President, together with Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo—Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), leads the initial meeting in preparation for an on-site inspection of various University facilities to assess the effects of the recent heavy rainfall caused by the enhanced southwest monsoon, 25 July.

After the briefing, Dr. Salunson and Dr. Lorenzo proceed with a walkthrough of the entire campus, accompanied by the IMT headed by Incident Commander Dr. Joven D. Valdez. The team inspects buildings and infrastructure to evaluate damage, recommend immediate response strategies, and identify necessary repairs resulting from Typhoons Dante and Emong.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | In a proactive step to mitigate damages and related accidents, the Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) group of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) initiate the temporary closure of the unpaved bypass road behind the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) building, 28 July.

Due to recent heavy rains and battering of typhoons Dante and Emong, some non-concrete roads have collapsed and are now subject for inspections and repairs. In line with this, tricycles and heavy vehicles are temporarily restricted from passing through until further notice.

CAPTURED IN LENS | In collaboration with internal auditors and office representatives, the Quality Assurance (QA) Office spearheads the Tarlac Agricultural University's (TAU) second follow-up audit from 11-16 July. 

This rigorous review focuses on verifying the implementation of corrective actions from the September 2024 Internal Quality Audit that remained unresolved after the first follow-up last 13-14 March 2025. The audit team meticulously examines office processes to assess compliance with TAU's quality management systems and ensure alignment with established standards. The results will guide final adjustments to achieve full compliance before the next audit cycle

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Commencing the 2025 Midyear Performance Review, the Deans of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business and Management (CBM), College of Education (CEd), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), together with the Principal of the Laboratory School (LS), Director of the Office of Curriculum and Instruction (OCI), and Coordinator of Graduate Programs present their accomplishments, current challenges, and intervention strategies for the past two quarters at the AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall, 21 July.

Sharing their reports before the panel of evaluators led by Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-III Regional Director Dr. Julius Ceasar V. Sicat and Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, the officials also address issues and clarifications regarding their respective performance indicators.
