Salunson enters into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between TAU, TAU-Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC), and Verde Carbon Capture Inc. at the Office of the President (OP) Conference Hall on 19 August.

The agreement focuses on using the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) between the Japanese and Philippine governments that allows the reduction in methane emissions from rice production through Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD).

Upon the release of project funds, the agreement is said to take effect for three years, supporting agricultural practices and benefiting the farming communities in Tarlac.

Continuing a strong tradition of international academic collaboration since 2019, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Chiang Rai Rajabhat University (CRRU) โ€“ Thailand renewed their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) via Zoom on 8 August.

The virtual MOU signing was led by the academic leaders of both institutions: Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU President, and Dr. Sornchai Munthaisong, CRRU President.

Led by the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD), the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) kicked off the Academic Year 2025-2026 by hosting a General Orientation Program for its incoming first-year students and transferees at the Gilberto O. Teodoro (GOT) Multipurpose Center, 15 August.

The event familiarized newcomers with campus policies, support services, and opportunities. Divided into two sessions, the morning segment catered to students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) while the afternoon welcomed those from the College of Business and Management (CBM), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Education (CEd).

In his remarks, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson welcomed new students to their "home away from home," reminding them that their admission, selected from thousands of applicants, proves their exceptional potential.
