A dominant performance defined the Arnis delegation of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) at the 6th Leg Luzon Friendship Game Invitational Tournament, held at Robinsons Metro East, Pasig City, on 8 November. Competing in the combative bracket for athletes aged 18 and above, the team delivered an exceptional showing, securing a total of 18 medals against fierce regional competition.
The womenโs division set a powerful precedent with a decisive medal sweep. Rhesa May Pascual captured the sole gold medal in the 41โ45 kg category, leading the division with a flawless display. Her performance was reinforced by strong silver finishes from Krissa Mae Dangil (40 kg and below) and Sarahjane Dayan (46โ50 kg). The womenโs roster further showcased its depth with bronze medals courtesy of Pearl Andrea Navarro (51โ55 kg), Jesille Jane Marjen (56โ60 kg), and Ashley Dheil Contreras (61โ65 kg).
The menโs division mirrored this success with an equally commanding presence, claiming three gold medals. Jones Lee Paguirigan (66โ70 kg), Darren Mateo (71โ75 kg), and Jeremiah Clemente (Open Weight) each secured top podium finishes in their respective weight classes. Their victories were strengthened by four silver medalistsโJohn Paul Dacalanio (50 kg and below), Mar Joshua Alcantara (51โ55 kg), Romer Camilet (61โ65 kg), and Mark Kevin Corpuz (86 kg and above)โhighlighting the teamโs consistency across divisions.
