Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Sports Development Office (SDO) started another tradition after hosting its first-ever Athletes' Night at the TAU Covered Court, 30 May. Marking a significant moment in recognizing athletic achievement, the event centered on the theme "TAU's Finest: Recognizing the Dedication and Triumphs of our Student Athletes."ย
This inaugural celebration transformed the court into a hub of pride and excitement, bringing together athletes, coaches, trainers, university officials, and supporters to honor a year of exceptional dedication and success across numerous sporting disciplines.
The pinnacle of the evening was the formal awarding of certificates to student-athletes and their coaches and trainers who proudly represented TAU with distinction in regional, national, and even international competitions throughout the year. This ceremony served as a powerful testament to the athletes' hard work and the crucial guidance provided by their support network.
A particularly inspiring moment came with the "Vote of Change" delivered by standout archer Allysa Faye R. Felipe. Fresh from securing a gold medal in the National SCUAA Games in Camiguin, Felipe captivated the audience as she shared her personal journey, the intense pressures of elite competition, and the profound honor of representing TAU on significant stages.ย
Concluding the landmark event, Dr. Emerson B. Cuzzamu, SDO Director, delivered heartfelt closing remarks to express his profound gratitude to all TAUians and partners. Dr. Cuzzamu passionately encouraged the athletes to pursue excellence relentlessly, emphasizing that their drive for glory extends far beyond personal accolades.ย
