Indonesian HEI leads off CommTECH 2022, invites TAU

Indonesia’s most sustainable university, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), commenced its CommTECH 2022 and convened industry giants, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and organizations from China, the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia virtually on 17 January. The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) delegation was represented by the Office of the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) headed by its Director, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer.

CommTECH is an ITS program which seeks to engage students, academicians, and professionals to create an ecosystem that explores how society works alongside technology through content generation and curation and data mining. It includes subcourses on Smart City Applications, Cognitive Ergonomics, Zero Waste, and Indonesian Creative Designs which will be offered in the first quarter of 2022.

Meanwhile, Dr. Amy Lizbeth J. Rico, project manager of the TAU - SMART Agriculture Center, will be joining her fellow experts in designing work systems related to human cognitive processes, human-computer interaction interface, and cognitive process evaluation applications in the field of sustainable production and Biosystems management.

Officials from leading institutions such as Beijing Institute of Technology, University of East London, and Singapore University of Social Sciences were also present during the opening ceremony.
