Several aspiring agricultural leaders from various state universities and colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon and Calabarzon, such as those from the Tarlac Agricultural University - College of Agriculture and Forestry (TAU-CAF), convened at the Agricultural Training Institute - International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ATI-ITCPH) Campus, Lipa City, Batangas, 24 October 2023 for the Agri-Youth Student Congress 2023.Β 

Valdez, Ezzel Mae De Pedro, and Gea Lhea De Vera represented TAU in this event and secured the 3rd runner-up honors – an achievement that manifested their grit, determination and the invaluable guidance provided by the esteemed faculty members from the Animal Science Department - Mr. Ronaldo C. Briones, Ms. Jaira M. Miranda, and Mr. Benigno S. Jacinto Jr., who served as their mentors.

The Agri-Youth Student Congress exemplified the promising future of agriculture in the Philippines. With ambitious young agriculturists gathering together, a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork was cultivated. Moreover, the Congress shone a spotlight on the potential of technology to revolutionize agricultural methods and uplift the lives of young farmers, who are eager to contribute to the country's food security and economic progress.
