The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), in coordination with the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT), has released the results of the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), showing Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Education (CEd) successfully producing 18 newly licensed teaching professionals.

First-time takers from TAU - CEd achieved a 100% passing rate in the Elementary level and a remarkable 75% passing rate in the Secondary level. TAU CEd also achieved overall passing rates of 71.43% in elementary and 50% in secondary. TAU’s stellar performance shines even brighter especially in elementary as it fared higher against the national passing rate of 46.77%.Β

TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson commended the passers for bringing honor to their Alma Mater. β€œThrough our graduates and alumni, the University's LEPT performance continues to reflect the potential of our teacher training programs. These encouraging results position TAU as a leader in steering the future of the country’s education sector,” Dr. Salunson stated.

Moreover, Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, TAU CEd Dean, hailed the achievers in a Facebook post. β€œYou have proven that excellence is a tradition we uphold and a future we continue to build. We are proud of each one of you. Soar high,” Dr. Olivares wrote.Β

Building on a legacy of consistent excellence, TAU CEd has repeatedly proven its mettle. In the September 2024 LEPT, first-time elementary takers achieved a flawless 100% passing rate, leading to an overall 91.49% passing rate. Secondary first-takers soared with a 96.08% pass rate, contributing to an overall 71.62% passing rate.Β

These results further solidified TAU’s status as a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Teacher Education, a reputation it has gradually earned over the years.
