The President of the Association of State Colleges and Universities – Solid North (ASCU-SN) and Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, takes part in the Executive Board Meeting held at the Strawberry Function Hall in La Trinidad, Benguet, on 15 July.

The gathering includes key agenda items for the ASCU-SN Sports and Cultural Festival, including the 2025 financial report, approval of institutional proposals, and the election of new officers. Dr. Salunson, who previously served as Vice President and now leads the association, secures another term and will continue to serve as ASCU-SN President for the next two years—ensuring continuity and strategic leadership for the consortium.

State Colleges and Universities (SUC) Presidents, Sports and Cultural Directors, and other officials attend the Executive Night and Fellowship Dinner during the second day of the Association of State Colleges and Universities - Solid North (ASCU-SN) Mid-Year Sports and Cultural Festival held at the Benguet State University Gymnasium on 15 July. 

The gathering highlights the rich cultural heritage of Benguet, where officials and participants take part in traditional dances, followed by the sashing ceremony of Mr. and Ms. ASCU-SN.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝐋𝐍𝐔 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐈 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐀𝐔

To gain an overview of the UI GreenMetric (UIGM) and learn about the Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) best practices, the Leyte Normal University (LNU) conducted a benchmarking visit to TAU on 8–9 July. 

The LNU delegation was led by Dr. Rommel L. Verecio, Dean of the Graduate School and Concurrent Director of International Affairs and External Linkages, together with Dr. Jose Ismael S. Salamia, Director of Disaster Risk Reduction Management and Pollution Control; Dr. Las Johansen B. Caluza, Professor VI; Mr. Michael Jun M. Ponciano, Director of Physical Plants and Facilities; Mr. Bryan Joseph E. Matillano, Coordinator of the BSEd-Science Unit; Mr. Leo Reaywen M. Tugonon, Academic Chair of the Entrepreneurship Department; Mr. Reynerio B. Mendoza, Coordinator of Research and Innovation of the Graduate School; and Mr. Rico V. Combinido, Website Administrator of the IT Support Office.

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) announces the cancellation of classes for high school and college levels following the proclamation from the Municipality of Camiling due to Typhoon Crising.

Students are advised to stay indoors and prepare for any eventuality with caution, as the Typhoon may bring strong winds and heavy rains.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | To strengthen academic ties, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Benguet State University (BSU) sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that aims to enhance both institutions’ academic collaboration, research activities and publications, and champion internationalization and sustainable development goals at BSU Office of the President, La Trinidad, Benguet, 16 May.

The signing gathers University officials from TAU, led by its President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson; Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET) Dr. Edmar N. Franquera; and faculty members from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF). Representing BSU are Dr. Kenneth Alip Laruan, President, and Dr. Janet P. Pablo, the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Celebrating the University's commitment to global development, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officials, led by the University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, along with the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VPPQA) Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, attend the banquet ceremony under the theme “Luminescence 26: Glowing with Excellence" at Nuan’s Farm Resort in Bacolor, Pampanga, on 17 July.

Said TAU officials also receive a plaque of appreciation from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office III for achieving international recognitions in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
