The second official day of the International Research Collaboration and Cross-Cultural Dialogues on the Ecological Framework for Laboratory Schools takes place at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) in East Java, Indonesia, on 7 October, with six Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) delegates joining six faculty members from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) and two officials from the Teacher Education Council (TEC) in exploring the Self-Access Centers of UM, particularly its facilities for languages such as German, Mandarin, English, Arabic, and Indonesian.
The day continues with class observations, a site visit, and parallel interviews involving pre-service teachers, cooperating teachers, and administrators of Sekolah Dasar (SD) Laboratorium, a private grade school operated by UM. The researchers engage Indonesian pupils in conversations about their learning experiences and teachers about their professional journeys, aiming to identify the similarities and differences in practices between the two countries.
