The College of Education (CEd) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has once again cemented its reputation for academic excellence and quality assurance, following the successful reaccreditation of two of its flagship programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.
In a formal notification, the AACCUP confirmed that the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) majors in Mathematics and Physical Science, as well as the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) majors in Agri-Fishery Arts, Home Economics, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), have both retained their Level IV status. This prestigious accreditation is the highest level awarded by AACCUP and signifies the programs' exceptional quality, affirming national standards.
The official Certificate of Reaccreditation grants a validity period of five years, effective from 16 July 2025 until 15 July 2030. This extended validity is a testament to the programs' sustained commitment to excellence in instruction, research, extension, and governance.
In response to the recent achievement, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson noted that the Level IV reaccreditation acts as a powerful assurance to the University's entire academic community. He went on to provide a specific example of its significance, stating: "It signifies that the CEd's programs produce graduates who are not only nationally competitive but also globally recognized, equipped with competence to lead and innovate in their respective fields."
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, CEd Dean Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares dedicated this significant accomplishment to the entire college community.
"This would not have been possible without the tireless efforts and dedication of our faculty and staff, the support of the administration, our students, alumni, and partners, and above all, the guidance and blessings of the Lord," Dean Olivares stated.
She extended her heartfelt appreciation to all those who contributed to this success, adding, "To everyone who worked behind the scenes and stood with us in this journeyโthank you.
