JUST IN | Consultation Forum of Luzon Economic Corridor Initiative

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson actively participates in the consultation forum of the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC) initiative, a major trilateral undertaking of the United States, the Philippines, and Japan, held at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Ortigas, Quezon City, 29 January.

The LEC initiative, formally announced during the Trilateral Leaders’ Summit in Washington, D.C., aims to accelerate coordinated investments in high-impact infrastructure projects spanning Subic, Clark, Manila, and Batangas. This strategic corridor is envisioned to further strengthen connectivity, boost economic activity, and drive inclusive growth across key growth centers in Luzon and the broader Philippine economy.

During the in-person consultation forum, Dr. Salunson engages with representatives from the U.S. Embassy Manila to underscore the University’s role as a vital academic and development partner in national and regional initiatives. By contributing insights grounded in agriculture, innovation, and sustainable development, TAU reinforces its commitment to supporting policies and partnerships that advance economic resilience and long-term progress for the country.
