Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducts its regular Flag Raising Ceremony today, 09 February 2026, at the Learning Resource Center (LRC), hosted by the Department of Research and Development (DRD) led by its Director, Dr. Noel J. Petero. The activity is held simultaneously in various colleges, uniting the University’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and students in a shared moment of patriotism and institutional solidarity.

During the announcement of updates, Vice President for Finance and Administration Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo reiterates the importance of remembering the β€œ3Hs” in line with the upcoming celebration of Valentine’s Day, being Happy in what we do, Holy by being kind and considerate to others, and Healthy by taking care of our bodies. He extends his advanced Valentine’s Day greetings to the TAU community and reminds everyone to always enjoy and take pride in their work.

Meanwhile, at the grounds of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco graces the flag raising ceremony and announces the upcoming CAF Week scheduled on February 18–20, 2026, as well as the full implementation of Car-Free Friday starting March 2026, supporting a safer and more sustainable campus environment.

At the College of Arts and Sciences grounds, the University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson joins the students and faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) during their flag-raising ceremony. In his message, he highlights the β‚±30-million approved budget from Senator Bam Aquino, noting that β‚±25 million is allocated for the ongoing construction of classrooms at CAF, while the remaining β‚±5 million is earmarked for the renovation of the Milla Hall at the CAS building. He also announces the continuous development of streetlights in the areas of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) and the College of Veterinary Medicine, in preparation for the 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. class schedule, ensuring improved safety and readiness of the University’s facilities.

The simultaneous flag-raising ceremonies reflect TAU’s strong commitment to unity, development, and the continuous improvement of academic and support services for its growing academic community.
