Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Universitas Tidar (UNTIDAR) of Indonesia officially concluded the inaugural International Practice Teaching Program with a closing ceremony at the TAU Agri-Tourism Hostel Function Hall, 22 October.

The event marked the culmination of a month-long training and teaching assignment for five Indonesian pre-service teachers: Hanun Iswari Manuhara, Husna An Naafi, Alya Putri Ramadhani, Azka Aulia Pratama, and Muhammad Sahya Alam Awanta, who underwent comprehensive practicum at the TAU Laboratory School (LS).

The program, organized by the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Office and the College of Education (CEd), represents TAU's first hosting of practice teachers from UNTIDAR, a prominent state university in Magelang City, Central Java.

Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of ELIA, presented the statement of purpose and introduced the officials, and read the message of Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU President. A message from Dr. Ahmad Muhlisin, M.Pd., Dean of UNTIDAR's Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, followed, underscoring the shared commitment of both institutions to regional collaboration and teacher education excellence.

The interns presented their internship highlights and reflections, sharing insights gained from their month-long immersion in Philippine classrooms. The ceremony then honored the participants with the awarding of certificates to the interns, practicum supervisors, cooperating teachers, and offices involved in the program.

Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, CEd Dean, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the transformative role of global collaboration in teacher preparation.

The International Practice Teaching Program marks another feat in TAU's internationalization efforts, building on its 2021 virtual exchange with UNTIDAR.
