Serving as the culmination of the annual sports festival, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Laboratory School (LS) community witnessed a celebration at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 6 October, which was headlined by Yellow Instinct being crowned the overall champion after two days of intense competition.ย
The Yellowโs consistent excellence across multiple games and matches secured them the highest honor, with Green Harmony, Red Valor, and Blue Mystic following in second, third, and fourth places, respectively. The event then transitioned into the pageant to crown Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025, featuring various segments including sportswear competitions, special numbers from the Glee and Rondalla Clubs, and a question-and-answer portion that showcased the candidates' poise and intellect.
In a proud moment for their squad, Alessandra Denise Castillo of Yellow Instinct was crowned Ms. Intramurals 2025. The male category was fiercely contested, with the title of Mr. Intramurals 2025 being awarded to Jhared Gazmen Bulatao of Red Valor.
Completing the royal court in the male category were first runner-up Jayzer V. Ferrer of Blue Mystic and second runner-up Nestor Caberio Jr. of Yellow Instinct. In the female category, Sophia Cleigh M. Talinio of Red Valor earned the first runner-up position, while Alexandra Keith Domingo of Blue Mystic was awarded second runner-up. These placements demonstrated the competitive spirit and excellence displayed by all 16 contenders.
TAU-LS Principal Dr. Milani C. Petero stressed that sports and physical education are indispensable components of a holistic education, as they cultivate far more than just physical well-being and are fundamental to developing disciplined, resilient, and collaborative individuals.ย
โThrough these intramurals, LSians learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance, while also managing stress and building self-confidence,โ Dr. Petero added highlighting how these experiences provide a critical balance to academic pressures, fostering essential life skills such as leadership, time management, and the ability to handle both successes and failures in life.ย
