Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) has once again secured its place in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR), maintaining its Reporter status since the 2023 edition.
In addition, 41 other higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines were granted Reporter status. Notably, TAU is the only HEI in Tarlac Province and one of only six HEIs in the region included in the 2026 THE WUR list.
Among Philippine HEIs, Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) emerged as the countryโs top-ranked university, while the University of the Philippines (UP) followed within the 1201โ1500 bracket. Meanwhile, De La Salle University (DLSU), Mapรบa University, Mindanao State UniversityโIligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) were listed in the 1501+ bracket.
The THE WUR โReporterโ status is granted to institutions that actively submit data for the global rankings but do not meet the criteria for a published rank. This recognition highlights the universitiesโ commitment to transparency, accountability, and international standards in higher education.
TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson remarked that TAUโs continued inclusion in the several international rankings demonstrates its active engagement in the global academic landscape and its commitment to align with internationally recognized benchmarks in instruction, research, and quality assurance.
โAs TAU sustains this achievement, the University reaffirms its commitment to advancing academic excellence, strengthening global visibility, and fostering innovation to serve its stakeholders,โ Dr. Salunson added.
