Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officials attended the 2025 INTENSE Program Education Fair where they were able to meet the administrators of National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) of Taiwan led by its President, Dr. Fuh-Jyh Jan; and Dr. Teody C. San Andres, President of Bulacan State University (BulSU) - an event which also featured the inauguration of the International Talent Circulation (INTACT) Base Hub at BulSU on 13 October 2025.

The TAU officials included Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA); Dr. Erlie SD. Totaan, Dean of the College of Business and Management (CBM), and Dr. Ruben A. Parazo, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET).

The event also paved the way for both higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines, including TAU and its fellow institutions in Central Luzon, to forge partnerships with NCHU through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Taiwanese institutions that showcased their academic offerings through the INTENSE Program Education Fair included National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), National Cheng Kung University, Cheng Shiu University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Cheng University, National Formosa University, Chaoyang University of Technology, I-Shou University, Providence University, Kaohsiung Medical University, and Dayeh University.

Moreover, TAU officials were able to meet with Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Dr. Lora L. Yusi, Director of CHED Region III. They were also able to exchange insights with Taiwanese officials, namely Dr. Jan, NCHU President, and Dr. Wen-Yuh Jywe, Principal Investigator of the INTENSE Program, among others.

TAUโ€™s active participation in this initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening international linkages and fostering academic collaborations with Taiwanese universities, consequently expanding opportunities for student and faculty exchanges in East Asia.
