In the fast-paced world of public service, where every minute counts, one individual has demonstrated that timeliness is more than a habit; it is a reflection of commitment, discipline, and respect. Recognized as this yearโ€™s Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Most Punctual Awardee during the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) themed โ€œBawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan,โ€ held at Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 29 September, Mr. Eduardo N. Duran showed the true meaning of reliability and dedication.

To qualify for the award, every nominee is required to have a Very Satisfactory (VS) rating in the last two rated Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR), no record of tardiness, and Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL). With complete attendance in all university activities such as flag-raising ceremony, charter day, and other events based on the criteria deliberated by the Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) committee, Mr. Duran emerged as the Most Punctual.

With his profound appreciation, Mr. Duran extended his message to the Information Unit stating โ€œLubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa parangal na ito na nagbigay ng halaga sa aking simpleng pagsisikap na maging maagap at responsable sa trabaho.

โ€œPunctuality is my simple way of showing respect, lalo na kapag nakikita ko na napapadali ang proseso at nagpapagaan ang trabaho ng mga taong pinaglilingkuran ko. Mahalaga po saakin ang disiplina at pagpapahalaga sa bawat minuto. Kapag malinaw ang layunin, mas nagiging maayos ang takbo ng araw,โ€ he added.

Beyond the clock, Mr. Duranโ€™s consistency has created a ripple effect in the workplace, especially in the General Services Office (GSO) - Motorpool Unit, where he currently serves as both an Administrative Aide VI and a driver.

In addition, the University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson commended Mr. Duran for creating a culture of discipline and responsibility within the TAU community. โ€œConsistency and discipline reflect the kind of professionalism we uphold at TAU, and I strongly support this advocacy. Kudos sa iyo, Mr. Duran,โ€ he expressed.

As TAU continues to champion excellence and integrity in public service, Mr. Duranโ€™s recognition as the Most Punctual Awardee serves as a reminder that greatness often begins with a small act of showing up on time despite our daily struggles.
