Fresh vegetables are harvested at the Department of Research and Development (DRD) garden as Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson joins the activity with Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA) Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Research, Extension and Training (VPRET) Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, and Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VPPQA) Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, 29 July.

Spearheaded by DRD Director Dr. Noel J. Petero, the activity highlights the vegetables produced through the department's initiatives and reflects the University's support for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger by encouraging local food production and improving access to fresh and nutritious produce within the TAU community.

Every Friday, DRD conducts a free vegetable harvest for the TAU community. Through this initiative, employees and students are encouraged to harvest fresh vegetables while supporting the University's advocacy for sustainable agriculture and responsible use of its agricultural resources.
