Deepening the knowledge and competencies in the government procurement process, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officials, led by Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VPPQA); Atty. Steve Russel P. Regua, Atty IV from the Legal Unit; Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA); and Mr. Eduardo D. Cabrera II, Chief of the Procurement Management Unit, attend the seminar on The New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) Deepening Understanding and Strengthening Implementation in State University and Colleges (SUCs) at the Manila Prince Hotel, Ermita, Manila, from 27-29 October.
Under the theme βBuilding NGPAReady SUCs: Towards Effective, Consistent, and Inclusive Implementation,β participants deepen their understanding of the provisions of Republic Act No. 12009 or the New Government Procurement Act during the three-day seminar, organized by the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO).
TAU officials also engage in collaborative discussions about the lawβs implementing rules and regulations, strategic procurement planning, modes of procurement, and contract implementation and sanction mechanisms. Each module highlights transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government procurement processes.
Through this event, TAU strengthens its commitment to effective governance and efficient procurement systems.
