To equip university personnel with advanced management skills that fosters adaptability, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) through the guidance from the Office of Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III conducted a two-day program titled โ€œTransformational Leadership Training for Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Employeesโ€ at the TAU - Continuing Education Center (CEC) from 2-3 September.

The program focused on cultivating essential leadership skills to empower employees in driving innovation, collaboration, and institutional growth led by Dr. Emmanuel F. Silan, a Co-Founder and Lead Consultant of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Manila Corporation.

Dr. Silan shared his expertise in four modules including Self Awareness; Transformative NLP; Leadership Essential; and NLP and EQ at Work which he emphasized as vital components of effective leadership in higher education.

With full support and involvement, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson also commended CHEd for their commitment to advancing higher education and empowering academic leaders. โ€œMy sincerest gratitude to CHEd and Commissioner Apag for their continuous support to TAU, this activity contributes to a great foundation in enhancing transparency and good governance within the higher education sector,โ€ he added.

CHED officials underscored the importance of continuous professional development in creating a culture of excellence within universities. TAU administrators, faculty and staff who participated in the training expressed their commitment to applying the lessons learned to advance the universityโ€™s vision and better serve its stakeholders.

In addition, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Administration Ms. Yolanda F. Juan shared her insights about the importance of such training. โ€œThis leadership training provides a fresh perspective, as the core of learning is self-awareness and understanding oneself, along with the different types of personality behaviors of individuals necessary in crafting a development program that is inclusive,โ€ she conveyed.

Remaining true to its mission in producing highly competent individuals, TAU and CHEd are both geared towards providing continuous professional development.
