A total of 176 graduates of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Batch 2025–2026, were formally recognized before embarking on their journey to the Agrostudies International Training Center in Israel.

The send-off ceremony, held on 5 September at the Learning Resource Center (LRC), was graced by University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, together with Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), and Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA).

The participants, coming from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Business and Management (CBM), will undergo an 11-month on-the-job training program in Israel. This opportunity is part of the global agriculture internship initiative of MASHAVβ€”Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation.

In addition, around 500 students from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) are also expected to benefit from advanced agricultural knowledge and hands-on learning through this partnership.

Sharing her encouragement, Ms. Grace Kelly G. Dela Cruz, Vocational Placement Coordinator I and Agrostudies Coordinator from the Student Placement Office (TAU-SPO), reminded the participants of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity ahead: β€œWe wish the interns every success as they begin this unique opportunity and look forward to their return with valuable knowledge and experience.”

Through the Student Placement Office, TAU remains steadfast in its commitment to provide inclusive, high-quality employment and training opportunities for its students and alumni. This initiative strengthens the University’s mission of producing globally competent graduates equipped to uplift communities and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
