Celebrating eight decades of dedicated service, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) culminated its week-long Founding Anniversary celebration with the theme โ€œ80 Years of Excellence: Cultivating Innovation, Sustainability, and Global Leadership,โ€ at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 19 December.

The commemorative program featured a festive atmosphere including fellowship, socialization, cha-cha dance competition, best-dressed award, raffle draws, and games.

TAU retirees also took part in the celebration, as part of TAUโ€™s tradition promoting inclusivity and honoring its legacy.

Meanwhile, the event also featured an anniversary message from TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, bringing the milestone to a meaningful close, grounded in gratitude, reflection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

โ€œEighty years. Eight decades of learning, service, community, and transformation. Few institutions are given the privilege to celebrate such a milestone, and fewer still are able to do so with the strength, relevance, and vitality that TAU demonstrates today,โ€ he noted.

โ€œHabang ipinagdiriwang natin ang walumpung mabunga at mahahalagang taon ng TAU, magpatuloy tayo nang may pasasalamat sa ating nakaraan, paninindigan sa kasalukuyan, pasasalamat sa paglalakbay ng 2025, dala ang pag-asa sa pangako ng 2026, at may pinag-isang tiwala sa kinabukasang sama-sama nating lilikhain,โ€ he added.

โ€œAgyamanak Apo. Maligayang pagdiriwang ng pagtatapos ng Taong 2025, pagdating ng Taong 2026, at Walumpung Makasaysayang Taon ng Tarlac Agricultural University. Agbiag, TAU! Dios la unay ti agngina!โ€ he further stated.

As TAU marks its milestone anniversary, it honors eight decades of dedicated service while looking ahead to a future of sustained growth and meaningful contributions to society.
