Gathering faculty and research coordinators to recalibrate research efforts in facing future challenges, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), opens the Research Capability Building activity at the Farmersโ Training Center, 5 December. The program begins with messages from CAF Dean Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo and Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, followed by updates on CAF Research and Extension 2025. Dr. Maria Elena T. Caguioa, Director for the Department of Research and Development, also leads the first session on โRecalibrating R&D: The Challenge of Today and Tomorrow,โ engaging participants in discussions on strengthening the Universityโs research direction.
In the afternoon, the activity continues with the second session on Gender and Development (GAD) Integration in Research, presented by Dr. Ma. Theresa B. Nardo, GAD Director. Moderated exchanges allow participants to deepen their understanding of inclusive and gender-responsive research practices. The event concludes with closing remarks from Ms. Milleate P. Omaney, CAF Assistant Dean, underscoring CAFโs commitment to enhancing research capacity and fostering innovation across disciplines.
