As part of Tarlac Agricultural Universityβs (TAU) continuous quality improvement and strategic planning initiatives, a delegation of its officials carried out a benchmarking activity with Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) on 4 September.
Operational units under the Presidentβs Office, Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (OVPFA), Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (OVPASA), Office of the Vice President for Research Extension and Training (OVPRET), and Office of the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (OVPPQA) engaged in a discussion with NVSU officials about the universityβs notable achievements in internationalization, research productivity, community development programs and academic excellence, which have positioned NVSU as one of the most dynamic institutions in the region.
Through this collaboration, TAU also gained valuable insights and best practices to support its own institutional development efforts. Furthermore, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson emphasized the importance of learning visits and strengthening alliances with State College and Universities (SUC) as a vital component of innovation in higher education. βExchanges like this allow us to obtain perspectives and enable us to refine our own strategies,β he noted.
βBy working together with institutions such as NVSU, we can elevate the quality of education and services we provide to our stakeholders,β Dr. Salunson added.
Subsequent to the benchmarking, both institutions agreed to collaborate more often and conduct joint research, faculty and student exchange, curriculum and academic development, and internationalization activities.
