A new cycle in the history of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) unfolded in 2026 as the University community welcomed a significant influx of fresh talents and renewed promises. This expansion of TAUโs core workforce reflects a strategic investment in its human capital, reinforcing the Universityโs mission through merit-based and inclusive appointments. Selected from a highly competitive applicant and labor pool, the new appointees bring deep-seated motivation and sustained devotion to public service.
Among the 61 newly appointed and regularized personnel were several familiar faces whose formal induction further boosted TAUโs academic and administrative pillars. Their appointments mark a notable transition, from years of provisional service to enduring partnership, one built on mutual respect and trust.

For nine years, Ms. Leslie Ann P. Rotoni served TAUโs College of Education (CEd) as an Instructor I under a Contract of Service (COS) and Temporary status, a prolonged period of professional uncertainty that tested her resolve. A holder of a Master of Arts in Education (Physical Science), she remained committed to teaching, nurturing young minds while navigating the instability inherent in contractual employment.
Her greatest challenge was deeply personal, balancing her passion for teaching at TAU with the pull of lucrative opportunities abroad. This quiet struggle reflects the sacrifices made by many COS personnel like her who continue to serve while awaiting full institutional recognition. Now, as a newly regularized Instructor I, Ms. Rotoni stands on firmer ground, strengthened by the affirmation from both her superiors and colleagues.
โI would like to express my sincere gratitude for the trust, support, and opportunity you [TAU] have given me,โ she shared. โBeing promoted and supported by an organization that believes in my potential is something I truly value. I will work harder for our beloved TAU.โ

Mr. Dick A. Dumlaoโs journey toward becoming a permanent Administrative Aide VI at the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (OVPRET) is proof of his versatility. Throughout his six-year career at TAU, he served in various technical and clerical roles across multiple units, including the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Office, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and the Graduate Programs Office.
A graduate of BS Information Technology from TAU, Mr. Dumlao faced the challenge of maintaining consistency and excellence amid frequent changes in work environments and professional dynamics. His progression from short-term technical assignments to a permanent administrative post exemplifies the value of adaptability, perseverance, and patience. Grounded in these principles, his pledge remains clear: โTo deliver quality service to stakeholders and clients, and to serve everyone with kindness, regardless of status or gender.โ

Mr. Ryan L. Sisonโs promotion as Houseparent II heralds the culmination of almost two decades of loyalty to TAU. He previously served as an Administrative Aide for 18 years, a role that sharpened his skills in handling receipts and managing deliveries, essential yet often unseen functions that keep University operations running smoothly.
Mr. Sisonโs extended period in non-permanent and permanent positions manifests the patience, resilience, and passion shared by many staff members who form the backbone of daily University life. The logistical demands of monitoring incoming and outgoing documents and supplies became his standard routine, responsibilities he carried out with consistency and reliability. Upon his career advancement this year, his message was simple but sincere: โThank you, TAU, for appreciating my work.โ These few words capture the profound gratitude of an employee whose long-held hope for stability has finally borne fruit.
The stories of Ms. Rotoni, Mr. Dumlao, and Mr. Sison are more than personal milestones; they are a beacon to many TAUians still pursuing their careers after the germination stage. Like seeds nurtured through changing seasons, their journeys affirm that years of unceasing contribution, professional growth, and painstaking service do not go unnoticed. At TAU, competence, humility, and integrity are carefully tended and ultimately rewarded.
To those still working toward permanency, let these appointments stand as a hopeful reminder: continue to labor with purpose, dream with a plan in motion, and serve the public with an honest heart. Invest in your skills, approach every task with excellence, and remain entrenched in TAUโs core values. The path may demand patience, but as these three and the other 58 appointments clearly demonstrate, time prepares the soil for success. Stay focused, serve faithfully, and trust that in due season, success will not merely be pursued; it will take root, grow from the ground, bear fruit, and be celebrated by the very institution you helped cultivate.
