In a press release, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 16 TAU alumni have passed the Veterinarian Licensure Examination (VLE) 2024, recording a 17.39 percent passing rateโ€”a significant increase from last yearโ€™s rating which stood at only 3.33 percent.

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez commended the passers for acing the VLE 2024. โ€œOn behalf of your CVM family, with pride and admiration, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly-licensed veterinarians. We know that it has not been easy because you battled hard but emerged victorious,โ€ Dr. Ramirez shared.

Based on the official tally from the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Supreme Student Council (SSC), the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) emerged victorious, leaving it all on the field after days of tight matches with the College of Business and Management (CBM) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), during the Intramurals held at the University grounds, 6-8 November.

The CAF Berde Tamaraws bagged the overall title, amassing 57 golds, 48 silver, and 19 bronze, with a total of 124 medals. However, CBM had 6 medals more, with 130, but fell short in gold haul with 47, plus 54 silver, and 29 bronze, while CAS secured the third place with a medal record of 96, aggregating 23 gold, 15 silver, and 58 bronze.

OCD unites the Local Government Units (LGU) and private organizations to the quarterly NSED in practicing the preparation of simultaneous disaster and secondary hazards. While focusing on the โ€œduck, cover, and holdโ€ operation, the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee (UDRRMC) of TAU provides two-way radios and whistles as communication tools to ensure the proper operations during the post-earthquake drills. Under the supervision of the UDRRMC Coordinator, Mr. Ronimo G. Ubaldo, the committee provides an emergency operation center, placing command posts in various areas at the University that supervises the Incident Management Team (IMT) and University First Aiders.
