𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 | TAU ROTC Unit welcomes Ph Army Commanding General, receives training equipment

Considered a great honor by the Tarlac Agricultural University - Reserve Officers Training Corps (TAU-ROTC) Unit, the official visit to TAU by Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA), was organized to facilitate a meeting between officials from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and ROTC cadets and university leadership on 19 February.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | The Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM) Unit of Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) General Services Office (GSO) facilitates the flag-raising ceremony in front of the Learning Resource Center (LRC), 19 February. 

In the said gathering, TAU President Dr. Max P. Guillermo announces the upcoming visit to the university of Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA). As a former Commander of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Western Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Lt. Gen. Galido dedicated most of his career in the pursuit of peace and security in Mindanao.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Offices and units under the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (OVPFA) gather for their Cluster Annual Performance Review and Strategic Planning Workshop, 16 February.

Led by Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of OVPFA, the meeting centers on the previous year’s targets, accomplishments, and major challenges. Also, the group conducts initial discussions to identify plans of actions and catch-up plans. 

There are 15 units under OVPFA which are further merged into four umbrella subgroups: Administrative Services; Finance Services; General Services; and Business and Auxiliary Services.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Gender and Development (GAD) Director, Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, leads a team composed of faculty and staff from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) in spearheading a virtual benchmarking activity with Central Philippine University (CPU) on 6 February.

Recognizing TAU’s accomplishments in GAD, especially in tracking and fulfilling the indicators of SDG 5: Gender Equality in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, CPU aims to optimize its GAD policies and processes by tapping on Dr. Villaruel’s expertise in GAD-related programs.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Prior to on-the-job training (OJT) stint of graduating students from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), the TAU - Placement Office, steers a Pre-Deployment Orientation Seminar at the Continuing Education Center (CEC) and Farmers’ Training Center (FTC), 31 January.

Practicum-bound students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) learn about the fundamentals of internship, work ethics, stress management, and maintaining a harassment-free environment from in-house experts.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 5 CAF, 1 CVM faculty members fly to Indonesia for int’l training on cage-free systems

Five (5) faculty members from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) and one (1) from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) of Tarlac Agricultural University traveled to Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 9 - 15 July 2023 to take part in the International Training on Cage-Free Innovation and Welfare Hub (ITCFIWH), an international training hosted by the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) as part of its 7th Summer Course Program anchored on the theme, "Challenges and Opportunities for Livestock and Agricultural Production in Responding to the Issue of the Global Food Crisis."

Several aspiring agricultural leaders from various state universities and colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon and Calabarzon, such as those from the Tarlac Agricultural University - College of Agriculture and Forestry (TAU-CAF), convened at the Agricultural Training Institute - International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ATI-ITCPH) Campus, Lipa City, Batangas, 24 October 2023 for the Agri-Youth Student Congress 2023.
