A move to internationalize TAU’s curriculum

     ELIA initiates COIL and GNL program

Powered by Innovation Laboratory (iLab) and ignited by the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Bayanihan COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project, the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) initiated the TAU (Tarlac Agricultural University) CONNECT (Converging Networked-learning Environments through Communication Technologies) which will be offered in the first semester of academic year 2023-2024.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) leapfrogged 10 places in the Student Mobility and Openness category of the 2023 edition of World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) after it lodged in the 22nd place, outperforming all colleges and universities in the Philippines.

Universitas Brawijaya’s (UB) Faculty of Administrative Science (FAS) has entered into another joint venture with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), this time with the College of Business and Management (CBM). Titled Summer Course 2023 - Startup 101: From Ideation to Fundraising and Supporting Policies, said training sessions will run from 15 to 18 May.

Come rain, extreme heat, and power interruption, nothing can stop the celebration of Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) seventh year as a premiere university.

Steered under the theme “Charting a Future-Proof TAU,” the one-day affair highlighted the convocation program held at Gilberto O. Teodoro Multi-Purpose Center in the afternoon of 10 May.

P2A launches hybrid mobility for hospitality, tourism

Passage to ASEAN (P2A), a think tank and academic institution listed under ASEAN charter and is currently housed in Duy Tan University in Vietnam, has commenced the mobility program involving seven higher education institutions (HEIs) in South East Asia through a virtual opening ceremony on 12 April.

Leaders from two institutions in Central Luzon expressed their willingness to establish a stronger bilateral relationship with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) after taking part in the partnership development meeting and benchmarking session at TAU Farmers’ Training Center on 24 March.

Mayor Arsenia J. Lim of the Municipality of Masinloc in Zambales and Dr. Charlyn Nayve Villavicencio, Deputy Director of Bulacan State University’s (BulSU) International Relations Office (IRO), were both very thankful for the generosity of their host.

TAU’s IZN agenda diversifies, accepts Indonesian middle managers, staff

Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) internationalization (IZN) program has officially integrated non-teaching staff development. This recent expansion was launched upon the welcoming of the administrative staff of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) at TAU Hostel Agri-Tourism Function Hall on 14 March.

Rolling out the red carpet for the ITS delegates was TAU President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo, who greeted them and wished that they enjoy their five-day stay at the university. “Today, we open our university not only to students but also to staff to even extend our reach in the international panorama,” Dr. Guillermo stated.

More than 40 officials composed of college deans, directors, and chiefs of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) from its main campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila and 22 branches and satellites visited Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) to conduct another leg of its Leadership and Management Program (LAMP) at TAU AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall on 3 March.

TAU President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo, warmly welcomed the PUP delegation by introducing TAU’s humble accomplishments and flagship products. “Walang sekreto ang TAU sa kaunti nitong tagumpay. Siguro ay nadala lang talaga sa pagtutulungan ng lahat,” Dr. Guillermo underscored. Also, Dr. Guillermo informed the participants about TAU’s profile. “Isa kaming agricultural university kaya naman ang mga banner commodities namin ay mga produkto ng maliliit na magsasaka.”
