Brief History

The institute of Engineering started as department, offering the BS in Agricultural Engineering curriculum in 1967. When the Tarlac College of Technology-College of Agriculture was converted into Tarlac College of Agriculture in 1974, the Department was elevated into an institute.

The Institute of Engineering that used to offer BS in Agricultural Engineering degree only expanded and offered courses leading to General Engineering course (1993) and the Associate in Geodetic Engineering and BS in Geodetic Engineering (1994). The latest addition of the curricular offering of the Institute are: MS in Agricultural Engineering major in Soil and Water management and Farm Machinery (1996), BS in Information Technology (2003) and other two year courses: Certificate in Office Management and Certificate in Computer Hardware Technology.
